May 6, 2020 - Integrity Commissioner Issues Report on A/H Closed Meetings

In response to a complaint from the public, the Integrity Commissioner (Principles Integrity) did an investigation of "closed" meetings held by Alnwick/Haldimand Council.  The results of the investigation are available here May 6, 2020 Report by Principles Integrity  This report was included on the May 21, 2020 Council meeting agenda.

Alnwick/Haldimand Township Integrity Commissionner Process

A/H has chosen to go the route of an online form for citizens to file complaints directly to the township, about the township, as it relates to conduct of council members or staff. CAO Robin Van de Moosdyk has advised that 'Principles Integrity' has been selected to look into closed meeting investigations and Integrity Commissioner advice. Protocol & Contact Information for 'PRINCIPLES INTEGRITY'

If you wish to file a 'Request for Advice' (complaint) through the appointed Integrity Commissioner, there is a protocol.  It is recommended that Agendas be reviewed early for potential issues and that advice is requested early!

  • Requests for Advice must be in writing or email
